Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong knowledge of web design and development using WordPress and Joomla platforms (Joomla is similar to WordPress), including managing websites and performing version upgrades.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office, web builder platforms, and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients in web design and development projects.
- Eagerness to learn new things and adapt quickly.
- Dependable and trustworthy.
- Experience in graphic design is a significant plus, with a preferred 60/40 split between web development (60%) and graphic design (40%).
Job Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing website layouts.
- Create complete websites using pre-loaded templates, ensuring alignment with client requirements and brand guidelines.
- Implement and customize plugins for shopping carts (e.g., WooCommerce for WordPress, HikaShop for Joomla) and forms.
- Ensure responsive design and usability across various devices.
- Plan and organize website content flow.
- Populate websites with content provided by clients or sourced appropriately.
- Add, update, or delete content as per client requests.
- Manage Joomla websites, including version upgrades (Joomla 3, 4, & 5) and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Update themes, plugins, and extensions on both Joomla and WordPress sites to ensure functionality and security.
- Utilize Hosting cPanel for server management tasks when necessary.
- Create visually appealing graphics for websites and promotional products.
- Collaborate with the team to develop cohesive designs that align with brand guidelines.
