Technical Operations Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Operations Lead to oversee and optimize our infrastructure across both production and development environments. This pivotal role ensures the stability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of our platforms. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with various AWS services, DevOps tools, and system administration for both Windows and Linux environments.

Collaborating closely with our development and product teams, you will ensure our infrastructure remains robust and streamlined.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Proficiency in relational databases (preferably MySQL).
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including: RDS, Lambda, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, AWS Backup.
  • Experience with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.
  • Competence in managing both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SSL certificate management.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure cost management and AWS billing.
  • Proven troubleshooting and system diagnostics skills.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Scripting proficiency (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Job Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain and monitor infrastructure across production and development environments, primarily on AWS.
  • Production Deployments: Coordinate and execute deployments to production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and effective rollback procedures.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues, providing thorough root cause analyses and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to reduce cloud and infrastructure costs without compromising performance or security.
  • Process Streamlining: Automate and refine infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment efficiency.
  • Team Support: Offer technical assistance to development, QA, and customer support teams as needed.
