Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Familiarity with Outlook and other necessary software tools.
- Experience in retail management, procurement, or inventory control.
- Strong analytical skills with a strong aptitude for numbers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Comfortable communicating with suppliers via email and phone.
- Willingness to learn and undergo training.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a 4-week rotating ordering schedule to ensure timely and efficient stock replenishment.
- Generate and place orders based on ordering schedules, promotional periods, and predicted cash flows.
- Adjust ordering spreadsheets to align with store-specific needs, sales volumes, and stock-holding capacity.
- Track stock deletions, ensuring discontinued items are not reordered.
- Monitor new product releases, track sales performance, and provide feedback to management.
- Ensure accurate implementation of price changes and maintain correct pricing records.
- Oversee Customer Special Orders (CSO) and address stock discrepancies.
- Analyze sales data to identify bulk-buy opportunities, pricing adjustments, and sales trends.
- Provide regular reports on high-traffic display areas, promotional stock performance, and non-approved product sales.
- Run monthly or quarterly reports to identify and investigate negative stock quantities and zero-sales items.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, deletions, promotional buy-ins, and new releases.
- Assist in compiling data for non-approved product codes and maintaining local pricing registers.
- Support in-store staff with stocktakes, stock adjustments, and discrepancy investigations.
- Maintain historic sales data when product codes change.
- Post daily statements and run monthly stock-on-hand reports for accounting purposes.
- Create in-store product signage using provided templates.
