As a Social Media Specialist with Graphic Design, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our creative team. This position involves assisting with project management, coordinating creative processes, and ensuring smooth communication between team members and external partners. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about fostering a creative and efficient work environment. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist with strong graphic design skills to join our marketing team. In this role, you will develop and execute social media strategies to enhance our online presence and engage with our audience. Your graphic design expertise will be crucial in creating compelling visual content that aligns with our brand and marketing objectives.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Proficiency in design software such as Canva, Lightroom, and Smart Albums.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Planoly, Pic-Time, and Studio Ninja.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, especially Instagram, and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of photos and culling/editing tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, especially the video editor.
  • Creativity in crafting content for both social media and print.
Job Responsibilities
  • Upload podcast episodes for publication and schedule them for release.
  • Create engaging cover art and thumbnails using Canva.
  • Generate detailed show notes using Riverside for episode descriptions.
  • Create reels using Opus for social media promotion.
  • Schedule 2 reels with copy using Planoly for Instagram, releasing one reel 2 days before and another on the episode release day.
  • Invite podcast guests as collaborators on Instagram.
  • Schedule a promotional post the day before each episode with the guest’s headshot and a brief episode description.
  • Email guests requesting 5 photo options for reel covers, including at least 2 headshots.
  • Reach out to guests about contributing financially to paid promotions.
  • Research each guest’s website and social media to craft 10 thoughtful, purposeful interview questions.
  • Create and schedule 3-5 Instagram posts per week featuring quotes from the podcast episodes.
  • Once a month, schedule an Instagram story asking for Q&A questions and compile the responses into a document.
  • Wedding Photography Support (The Tognazzini’s)
  • Create a runsheet 2 months prior to each wedding.
  • Schedule 3 social media posts per week using Planoly to promote wedding-related content.
  • Organize and categorize wedding images in Pic-Time after they are uploaded.
  • Create a 5-minute slideshow for clients using multiple songs, showcasing highlights from their wedding day.
  • Send the completed wedding gallery to clients 4 weeks after their wedding.
  • Share the gallery with wedding vendors the day after the gallery is delivered to clients.
  • Two months before the wedding, send out the vendor questionnaire to the couple.
  • Design a 30-page wedding album using Smart Albums and send it to clients 6 weeks after the wedding, offering a 20% discount.
  • Order a glass photo box, USB, and 10 prints from Atkins Photo Lab using sneak peek images, 2 weeks post-wedding.
  • Download wedding photos via Dropbox, create a new Lightroom catalogue, and upload it to Imagin AI for culling. Finalize the cull to 800 images, upload for editing, and perform final retouching (exposure, white balance, vignettes, skin softening, etc.).
  • Upload finalized images to Pic-Time, organize them into appropriate folders (Bride Prep, Groom Prep, Ceremony, etc.).
  • Each Monday, review Studio Ninja, Tave, and email to create a detailed To-Do list, categorized by priority (Immediate, This Week, This Month).
  • Create and maintain a To-Do list for the team, outlining weekly and monthly tasks.
  • For portfolio weddings, add selected images (50 best) to the website and embed videos if applicable.
  • Create a Pic-Time portfolio showcasing the best images from portfolio weddings.
