Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project estimation within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam and Planswift is highly sought but not essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of estimating practices is essential.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Analyze architectural plans, engineering drawings, and specifications to generate accurate cost projections.
- Conduct risk analysis and evaluate potential cost impacts.
- Prepare and submit tender bids for projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Review and assess the cost-effectiveness of products and services.
- Monitor project costs and report on budget variances.
- Update estimates based on changes in project scope or conditions.
- Provide detailed project cost reports and forecasts.
- Use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Planswift to aid in the estimation process.
- Ensure all estimates are accurately documented and maintained in the company’s database.
