Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Degree in journalism, communications, creative writing, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating website copy, ad copy, and content marketing work (portfolio link required).
  • Proven ability to write conversion-focused copy that drives results.
  • Excellent understanding of SEO principles and keyword integration.
  • Experience writing for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and email marketing.
  • Strong research skills and ability to quickly understand new industries and audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail with impeccable grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to adapt tone and voice across multiple brands and content formats.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent English fluency with strong written communication and meticulous grammatical accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of Australian/British English spelling and grammar conventions.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for learning and collaboration.
  • Bonus points if you have:
    • Experience with small businesses and direct-to-consumer marketing.
    • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
    • Basic understanding of paid advertising and performance metrics.
    • Experience with content management systems (WordPress, Shopify).
    • Exposure to AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude) for productivity enhancement.
    • Knowledge of analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, social media insights).
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop website copy that guides visitors from awareness to conversion — researching target audiences, crafting value propositions, and writing persuasive content that drives action.
  • Craft paid social ad copy that stops the scroll and drives clicks — developing creative angles, testing hooks, and refining messaging based on performance data.
  • Build organic visibility through strategic blog content — identifying high-value topics, structuring articles for search intent, and positioning brands as industry authorities.
  • Shape brand voice across social channels — developing content themes, crafting scrollstopping posts, and building engaged communities.
  • Own content planning from strategy to execution — building editorial calendars that align with business goals and keep multiple brands consistently visible.
  • Design email journeys that nurture and convert — mapping customer touchpoints, writing sequences that build trust, and optimising for opens and clicks.
  • Develop SEO-driven page content that ranks and converts — balancing keyword strategy with compelling copy that keeps readers engaged.
  • Script video content that captures attention in seconds — structuring narratives for shortform ads and brand storytelling.
  • Translate performance data into actionable insights — producing client reports that connect content efforts to business outcomes.
  • Champion Growthify’s brand — developing case studies, thought leadership, and social content that showcases our expertise.
  • Partner directly with Australian founders to shape content strategy and brand direction.
  • Lead keyword research and SEO strategy — identifying opportunities and weaving search intent into every piece of content.
  • Assess and refine brand positioning — conducting tone of voice audits and developing content strategies for new and existing clients.
  • Maintain quality standards across all content — editing and refining work from clients and team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement — analysing content performance and recommending optimizations based on data.
