Own the end-to-end product and category management process; from NPD concept through to stock lifecycle, compliance, and customer support, this role will be working closely with the Senior Brand Manager, Sourcing Team, Sales Team and Marketing Director.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, category management, or retail buying within a fast-paced industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing a diverse product portfolio with demonstrated revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools for complex sales analysis and forecasting.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience handling vendor contracts and supply chain logistics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present strategic plans to senior leadership and external partners.
- Experience utilizing ERP or inventory management software to track product movement and performance.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance creative product selection with rigorous financial discipline.
Job Responsibilities
- Product Management:
- Reach out to suppliers and intercompany global regions to identify product ideas and opportunities (in consultation with Senior Brand Manager).
- Work with the Sourcing Team to obtain supplier quotes, negotiate pricing and MOQs, and calculate estimated landing costs to assess product viability
- Develop market analysis reviews for the Senior Brand Manager to assist in covering product concepts, market trends, pricing, packaging, and brand collaboration opportunities.
- Conduct sales analysis from the previous year to support range reviews.
- Generate sales reports by brand/category as required.
- Review portfolio performance to gain insights and make recommendations on ways to continue driving sales (in consultation with Senior Brand Manager).
- Prepare and present cost and P&L calculations to the management team for sign-off.
- Review forecasts and customer commitment requirements; obtain sign-off where MOQs must be met; load forecasts into APO.
- Finalise product range and complete D20 creation (template and SAP loading), in conjunction with the Marketing Assistant.
- Liaise with suppliers/manufacturing partners on product concept creation, artwork design, and sign-off.
- Arrange and manage internal proofing for dated goods products.
- Create mood boards for new design directions, in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Team.
- Effective Stock Control and Obsolete Stock:
- Own and manage all aspects of the product life cycle, including exits and deletions, in a profitable manner.
- Forecast, plan, and execute stock plans for the category.
- Work with the Operations Department to write off obsolete stock.
- Compliance:
- Manage and understand product/category-specific legal requirements (e.g. Trademarks, FSC, ARL), including submission and tracking of FSC/ARL approvals.
- Manage quality control, accreditation, and sourcing based on compliant factories (with Sourcing/Compliance Team).
- Actively participate in sustainability reviews of the portfolio, exploring commercially viable packaging reduction and sustainable packaging options aligned to Australia/NZ national packaging targets (with Sourcing/Compliance Team).
- Ensure compliance with company policy, including code of conduct, health & safety, and quality management systems (with Sourcing/Compliance Team)
- Customer Range Reviews, Promotions and Presentations:
- Proof customer catalogues, websites, and information flyers/brochures.
- Prepare PIM/PSF information for customers submissions.
- Prepare collateral for customer range reviews and presentations.
- Digital and Trade Marketing:
- Brief graphics and external designers on new designs and colours; brief artwork creation with internal/external graphic designers (including knife lines).
- Proof artwork for products and packaging supplied by suppliers.
- Own the image, website, brochure, and brand collateral database for the category, including FABs, image and logo audit and maintenance.
- Work with the Graphic Team on photography and photoshop images; work with the Trade Marketing Team to load images to the web and DAM.
- Work with the Trade Marketing Team on activations and EDMs.
- Upload and complete PIM information for website content, in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Team.
- Sign off and work with the Trade Marketing Team on Point-of-Sale requirements.
- Customer Support:
- Assist with customer enquiries and complaints (in consultation with Senior Brand Manager).
