Procurement Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Offshore Procurement Assistant to assist our procurement team. This position will primarily focus on supporting the purchasing and inventory management activities for our Australian office. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing or inventory management, possess advanced MS Excel skills, and have excellent English communication skills.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and inventory systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools in Excel.
  • Quick to learn new processes and systems, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Australian-based teams and overseas suppliers.
  • Must be available during Australian working hours or a similar time zone.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Job Responsibilities
  • Procurement Support: Assist in purchasing goods and services based on business needs, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage reorder processes, and ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
  • Data Entry & Analysis: Input procurement and inventory data into internal systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records. Utilize MS Excel to analyze and report on procurement trends, stock levels, and order statuses.
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate effectively with suppliers, delivery terms & timeframes, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the procurement team as required.
