Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Drafting Expertise: Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software; experienced in producing detailed architectural elevation drawings and site plans.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of basic building structures; knowledge of steel is a strong preference.
- Compliance: Ability to ensure all drawings and documentation meet Australian local council (shire) submission requirements.
- Education/Background: Engineering background or relevant tertiary education preferred.
- Communication: Good written and spoken English for professional communication and liaison with Australian local councils.
- Soft Skills: High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain organized digital records.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce clear and detailed architectural elevation drawings and site plans using AutoCAD or similar software, based on provided structural designs.
- Ensure drawings meet Australian local council (shire) submission requirements.
- Prepare and organise all required documentation for shire approvals.
- Submit applications and follow up with shires via email and/or phone.
- Liaise with the internal design and operations teams to confirm project details.
- Maintain accurate digital records of all submissions and approvals.
