Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and process employee payroll on a regular schedule, including calculating wages, overtime, commissions, and deductions.
- Ensure payroll records are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements. Maintain records of salary adjustments, benefits, and other forms of compensation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll, compensation, and deductions, ensuring timely resolution of issues and overseeing timekeeping.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Stay informed about legal regulations related to employee benefits and ensure compliance.
- Facilitate the orientation of new employees, ensuring proper enrollment in benefits programs and completion of all compensation and benefit documentation.
- Manage employee separations (resignations, retirements, or terminations) by ensuring final pay, benefits continuation, and other compensation-related issues are properly addressed.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining HR files.
- Assist with HR reporting and analysis, supporting the HR Manager with various HR metrics, including turnover, employee satisfaction, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by the HR Manager to support the HR function.
