The Human Resources Officer will serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting the HR functions at Norman Carriers. This role involves providing HR policy guidance, supporting recruitment efforts, managing onboarding processes, ensuring legal compliance, and contributing to staff development and workplace relations.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes.
- Proficiency in HR software and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, providing prompt and effective support to employees.
- Advise and support management and staff on HR policies, projects, and procedures to ensure consistent and fair practices across the organization.
- Assist with the full recruitment lifecycle, including preparing job descriptions, advertising roles, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and effective integration into the company. Contribute to the development and improvement of onboarding procedures.
- Prepare regular reports for the Office Manager on HR activities and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Support performance management processes, including devising and managing staff remuneration, rewards, and recognition programs.
- Handle workplace relations issues such as complaints, conflicts, grievances, and misconduct with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Coordinate workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Organize counseling or support services for staff dealing with workplace accidents, personal trauma, or other challenging situations.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
- Manage staff succession planning to ensure leadership continuity and the ongoing development of high-potential employees.
