Head of HR

Job Description

The Head of Human Resources plays a strategic and operational leadership role at GP Hero. This role is responsible for overseeing the full employee lifecycle while playing a critical role in managing and maintaining our internal HMO program. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in employee benefits administration—particularly in Philippine HMO program design, utilization control, and provider liaison—to ensure cost-effective, transparent, and employee-centric healthcare access.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an HR leadership role, preferably within the BPO or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience administering HMO programs in the
    Philippines—preferably with AVEGA, Intellicare, or similar providers.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine labor law and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and digital document management.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the internal lead for all aspects of the HMO fund and provider management at GP Hero.
  • Maintain and continuously improve internal HMO utilization controls, eligibility audits, and cost-tracking systems.
  • Manage relationships with external HMO providers (e.g., AVEGA, Intellicare), including contract negotiation, onboarding/offboarding coordination, billing reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure all employee and dependent enrollments, removals, and claims are accurately tracked and processed.
  • Train and supervise HR team members and bookkeepers on internal processes for HMO documentation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Prepare utilization reports and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
  • Support department heads in workforce planning and performance reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with DOLE requirements and all local labor laws.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies aligned with GP Hero’s values and operational goals.
  • Ensure effective employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee well-being initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, systems, and trackers—including HMO dashboards, leave records, and payroll-related documentation.
  • Lead the development of HR SOPs that intersect with finance, operations, and compliance.
  • Support change management initiatives and internal communications as needed.
