Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Software Expertise: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe Illustrator is essential for daily dieline creation and manipulation, complemented by strong Adobe Photoshop skills for high-end product image retouching.
  • AI Expertise: Strong familiarity with AI tools and design workflows, using AI to improve efficiency, speed up concept development, and support high-quality design output.
  • Dieline Proficiency: Proven experience working with flat packaging templates, with a deep understanding of how 2D flat designs translate into 3D folded retail structures.
  • Retail & Consumer Psychology: A strong grasp of retail design principles, specifically knowing how to make a product “pop” and capture consumer attention on a crowded discount variety store shelf.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-turnaround environment without sacrificing design quality or technical accuracy.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail to handle complex compliance regulations and technical print specifications seamlessly.
Job Responsibilities
  • Visual Branding & Identity: Establish and maintain the “look and feel” for Brazco’s diverse portfolio of in-house brands. Design eye-catching graphics and select strategic color palettes that elevate the product’s perceived value, ensuring a high-quality aesthetic even at a discount price point.
  • Structural Packaging Adaptation: Design across a versatile range of packaging formats, seamlessly adapting graphics to suit blister packs, hang-sell cards, window boxes, and PDQ (Product Display Quantity) trays.
  • Fast-Paced Seasonal Execution: Drive Brazco’s “speed-to-market” competitive edge by working efficiently under tight deadlines. Deliver rapid turnarounds on major seasonal ranges (e.g., Christmas décor) to ensure products move quickly from concept to production.
  • Technical Compliance & Accuracy: Guarantee all packaging designs adhere strictly to Australian mandatory standards. Ensure the precise placement and accuracy of ingredient lists, safety warnings, barcodes, and regulatory text.
  • Factory-Ready Collaboration: Prepare, check, and manipulate flat packaging templates to ensure they are technically flawless before being sent to manufacturing partners in Asia for printing, cutting, and folding.
