Finance Manager

Job Description

The Finance Manager is the architect of WrkPod’s financial infrastructure. Beyond overseeing day-to-end accounting, this role is responsible for the strategic design and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and financial systems. You will lead the finance team to ensure scalability, system integrity, and audit readiness across all current and future sites in Dumaguete, Tanjay, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Cebu.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Australian accounting firms or servicing Australian accounting clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero, strong experience using Hubdoc or similar document management systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Degree-qualified accountant (Accounting, Finance or related discipline).
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, IAS, payroll and superannuation requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple Australian client files independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience working with music, entertainment or creative industry clients is highly regarded.
Job Responsibilities
  • SOP Development & Strategic Implementation:
    • Process Architecture: Design and implement robust SOPs for accounts receivable, billing governance, and reconciliations to ensure consistency as the business scales.
    • Systems Ownership: Act as the primary lead for Xero and Stripe configuration, ensuring maximum automation and minimal manual error in store transaction flows.
    • Control Environment: Establish internal controls to manage credit exposure and high-risk accounts, ensuring 100% billing integrity.
  • Accounts Receivable & Billing Governance:
    • End-to-End Oversight: Own the entire AR lifecycle, ensuring timely invoicing and proactive management of Stripe payout timing and cash flow visibility.
    • Escalation Leadership: Serve as the senior point of contact for complex client billing issues, partnering with Sales and Operations to resolve matters.
    • Audit Readiness: Maintain audit-ready financial records and act as the primary liaison for external parties including partners, auditors, and banks.
  • Financial Intelligence & Reporting:
    • CFO Support: Prepare “leadership-ready” monthly dashboards, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
    • Strategic Insights: Conduct full-client account audits to identify trends and provide data-driven insights for pricing, contract terms, and retention strategies.
    • Reconciliations: Oversee monthly reconciliations across Xero, Stripe, and WrkPod Store systems, resolving complex discrepancies independently.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building:
    • Mentorship: Provide high-level guidance, quality checks, and professional coaching to Finance Associates and Specialists.
    • Resource Management: Manage team workload and serve as the dependable delegate for the CFO during absences.
