Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing architectural documentation to identify door types and specifications, ensuring accurate data entry into our provided spreadsheet quote templates. This role is crucial in supporting our commitment to delivering precise and competitive quotations to our clients.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Drafting, or any related technical discipline.
  • Relevant Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or Technical CAD/Draftsperson—preferably within architectural fit-outs, joinery, doors/hardware, or general construction.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced capability in reading and interpreting complex architectural drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
    • High proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet manipulation.
    • Strong attention to numerical detail and accurate data entry.
  • Language & Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for collaborating with Australian team members.
Job Responsibilities
  • Architectural Blueprint Analysis: Thoroughly review, analyze, and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and technical schedules to identify door types, frame specifications, and hardware schedules.
  • Takeoffs & Data Entry: Perform detailed material takeoffs and accurately enter data, specifications, and quantities into provided Excel/spreadsheet quote templates.
  • Quotation Accuracy: Ensure all estimations and line items adhere to company pricing models and client quality standards for precision and speed.
  • Clarifications & Coordination: Identify drawing discrepancies or missing technical details and coordinate with the team to request clarifications as needed.
