Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for modular construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all estimates are competitive, accurate, and delivered within required timeframes.

This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to successful project outcomes.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Estimator role within the construction or building industry.
  • Experience with modular, transportable, or residential/commercial construction is highly regarded.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Solid knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and industry pricing.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Relevant qualification in Construction, Building, Quantity Surveying, or similar (preferred).
  • Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular building and construction projects.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Conduct material take-offs and cost analysis.
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare and submit tender documentation and pricing proposals.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimation process.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the operations team.
  • Maintain and update estimating databases and cost records.
  • Assist with project budgeting and cost planning.
  • Ensure estimates align with company standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Participate in tender meetings and project handovers where required.
