Estimator

Job Description

The Estimator will play a critical role in the success of Wilks Building Group and Perrem Design & Construction by ensuring accurate cost estimation for residential projects. This role requires expertise in SketchUp for 3D modeling, as well as experience using estimating software such as Wunderbuild, Buildxact, or similar tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction (preferably in Australia) and a comprehensive understanding of metric measurements. They will be responsible for analyzing architectural plans, extracting VOQ (Volume of Quantities) data, and providing precise estimates that support project planning and execution.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Mandatory proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling.
  • Proven experience in residential construction estimating (preferably in Australia).
  • Strong background in using estimating software (Wunderbuild, Buildxact, Buildertrend, Procore, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of metric measurement systems and construction materials.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans and drawings.
  • Familiarity with PlusSpec is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
