Civil Construction Estimator

Job Description

The estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and quantity takeoffs across civil infrastructure projects (Solve Civil) and mechanical/piping projects (Complete Piping). The role ensures all bids are commercially sound, compliant, and aligned with each business unit’s delivery capabilities.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience as an Estimator.
  • Civil or Mechanical Engineering graduate.
  • Australian experience advantageous, but not required.
  • Prepare cost estimates, take-offs, BOQs, and tenders for civil and piping works.
  • Review drawings and specifications; assess risks and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Source supplier and subcontractor pricing.
  • Collaborate with project and site teams; support variations and re-estimates.
  • Strong analytical skills, close attention to detail, and deadline-driven.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Excel.
Job Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates and takeoffs.
  • Develop BOQs, rate build‑ups, and tender submissions for both civil and piping scopes.
  • Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure constructability and accuracy.
  • Support project handover and assist with variations or re‑estimates as required.
