We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and capable of supporting financial decision-making while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; bookkeeping/accounting certification is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and preparing financial statements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (The Company uses Xero, and MS Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
- Core Tasks: Maintain accurate financial records by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Accounts Management: Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts receivable.
- Primary Focus: Manage and oversee accounts payable activities.
- Payroll: Not currently a part of the role but training will be provided at some point to enable a back up service in the event that our Payroll person is ill or on leave.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and review financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements on a quarterly basis.
- Reporting Cycle: Prepare and provide quarterly and annual reporting.
- Tax Preparation: Prepare end-of-year financial statements for accountants to finalize tax returns.
- Support: Work closely with the Managing Director to assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Documentation: Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented and filed.
- Team Assistance: Support the Managing Director with various administrative tasks as needed.
