We are a high-volume travel agency based in Melbourne, Australia, looking for a dedicated Travel Consultant. The primary goal of this role is to provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to our Australian sales team. You will act as the operational backbone, managing complex travel systems and high-precision tasks. Unlike general administrative roles, previous Travel Industry experience is a strict requirement for this position. We are looking for a candidate who “speaks the language” of travel and can hit the ground running.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: A University Degree or Diploma is essential.
- Experience: Proven background in the Travel Industry (Travel Agency, Airline Reservations, or BPO Travel Accounts) is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: * GDS Proficiency: Previous experience with Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo (Global Distribution Systems) is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with PNRs, ticketing, and fare rules. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Tools: Required proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Experience with Monday.com, Travelog, or Travefy is a significant plus.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, adaptable, and a fast learner capable of handling a high-volume workload.
Job Responsibilities
- Booking Management: Create airline reservations and book hotels, sightseeing, and transfers on behalf of clients.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough checks of booking reservations using established checklists.
- Documentation: Import travel arrangements into the itinerary platform (Travefy) and prepare final travel documentation for clients.
- Financial Admin: Create client files, manage accounting for individual trips, follow up on invoices, and email travel insurance quotes.
- Team Support: Assist consultants with booking-related matters and complete other administrative tasks as required to streamline the sales process.
