Job Description
The position of Website Specialist is primarily required to support the ongoing development, optimisation, and maintenance of Intermax’s digital platforms. This role ensures that our websites—across Intermax.com.au, BarcodeVerification.com.au, and associated landing pages remain high-performing, secure, user-friendly, and aligned with our marketing and SEO strategies.
Core responsibilities include: updating and maintaining website content, implementing SEO improvements, building new landing pages, managing integrations (WordPress, Gravity Forms, Zapier, etc.), and ensuring optimal site performance. The role will also troubleshoot website issues, manage plugins and updates, and work closely with the Marketing and Technical teams to deliver digital assets that support lead generation, product showcases, and customer engagement.
Additional duties include providing technical guidance to internal staff regarding website functionality, supporting campaign launches, monitoring analytics, and performing administrative tasks related to website and digital operations.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience managing or maintaining WordPress websites.
- Experience working with digital marketing teams, IT teams, or in a technology-focused environment is an advantage. Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Web Development, Digital Media, IT, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
- Strong proficiency in WordPress, including page builders, themes, plugins, and custom post types.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web troubleshooting.
- Experience with Gravity Forms, Zapier, and marketing automations.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, including metadata, keyword optimisation, alt text, schema, and internal linking.
- Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and ideally Ahrefs.
- Ability to manage hosting tools, backups, and security plugins.
- Basic understanding of UX principles and responsive design.
- Familiarity with optimising website performance (page speed, image optimisation, caching, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and presentation quality.
- Excellent communication skills—capable of explaining technical concepts in simple terms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving website performance.
- Organised, process-driven, and able to maintain documentation effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Website Management & Integration:
● Maintain, update, and optimise all websites (including product/service pages, blogs, and landing pages) to ensure they remain secure, functional, and aligned with brand standards.
● Perform routine technical maintenance, including regular updates for the platform (e.g., WordPress) and all themes, plugins, and custom tools (e.g., CPT UI, Gravity Forms).
● Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve website performance issues, broken links, display errors, and other technical faults to ensure optimal site health.
● Manage, maintain, and build new forms and automation flows using tools like Gravity Forms and Zapier.
● Ensure seamless and correct functionality of all integrations and lead delivery processes across marketing and operational workflows (e.g., connecting forms to Ontraport, Slack, and email systems via Zapier). - Website Content Updates & Creation:
● Upload and format new website content, including blogs, service pages, marketing assets, and product information.
● Build new landing pages to support marketing campaigns and lead-generation initiatives.
● Optimise all pages for readability, seo, and conversion flow. - SEO Implementation, Analytics & Performance Optimisation:
● Implement comprehensive SEO best practices, including metadata, keyword optimisation, schema markup, alt text, and internal linking.
● Conduct regular SEO audits and apply continuous improvements based on recommendations from tools like AhRefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
● Monitor key website KPIs including traffic, engagement, page performance, and conversions.
● Provide monthly performance reports that include actionable recommendations for improving SEO health and overall user experience.
● Contribute to the long-term SEO strategy and identify opportunities for technical and content enhancements that align directly with business goals.
● Validate tracking GTM scripts, analytics setup, and pixel placements. - Technical Support to Internal Teams:
● Provide technical assistance to the Marketing and Sales teams for digital campaigns, tracking, and analytics.
● Assist with troubleshooting website-related issues raised by staff. - Quality Assurance & Testing:
● Test pages across devices and browsers to ensure responsiveness and user experience consistency.
● Conduct pre-launch QA for new pages and site features. - Administrative & Documentation Tasks:
● Maintain documentation of website structures, processes, workflows, and update logs.
● Assist in managing hosting, backups, and security tools.
● Support the Technical Department on tasks related to digital assets when required.
