Job Description
The Creative Director / Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for overseeing the creative vision, direction and design output of Vigour Graphics. This role leads the creative process from concept to delivery, manages client communication via email, ensures brand consistency and maintains a high standard of design across all projects.
The ideal candidate is a confident, experienced designer who can take ownership of creative outcomes, produce exceptional work and communicate professionally with clients and internal team members.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 3–5+ years graphic design experience (agency or freelance).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, layout, and digital design.
- Confident written communication for client emails and project updates.
- Experience preparing artwork for print and digital applications.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, composition, colour, and typography.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of creative outcomes.
- Desirable Skills:
• Experience with Figma or UX/UI tools.
• Understanding of WordPress or website design (not essential).
• Illustration, animation, or video editing skills.
• Experience working with regional and service-based Australian businesses.
Job Responsibilities
- Creative Direction & Leadership:
• Lead the creative direction for all Vigour Graphics projects, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with client goals.
• Oversee concept development, visual direction, and creative execution across branding, print, digital, and marketing materials.
• Provide creative guidance, problem-solving, and decision-making throughout projects.
• Ensure all design work meets Vigour Graphics’ high-quality standards. - Design & Creative Execution:
• Produce high-level design work across branding, print and digital.
• Create logos, brand identities, brochures, flyers, social media templates, signage, advertising and website assets.
• Refine concepts based on internal and client feedback.
• Prepare accurate print-ready artwork with correct bleed, colour profiles, and specifications. - Client Liaison (Email Communication):
• Communicate professionally with clients via email regarding briefs, revisions, deadlines, and approvals.
• Request content, assets, and clarification where required.
• Present concepts and provide guidance on design recommendations.
• Provide warm, professional, and timely written communication that reflects the Vigour Graphics brand. - Branding & Visual Identity:
• Develop complete branding systems, including colour palettes, typography, brand elements, mood boards, and style guides.
• Maintain brand consistency across all projects.
• Support clients in understanding and utilising their visual identity effectively. - Digital & Online Design:
• Design assets for websites, landing pages, banners, icons, and hero imagery.
• Create visually engaging social media graphics and digital advertising creatives.
• Prepare digital assets optimised for web and mobile. - Project & Workflow Management:
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Maintain organised project files with proper naming conventions.
• Communicate regularly with Kim Amor regarding project status, timelines, and priorities.
• Ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of all creative assets.
