Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Cert IV in Bookkeeping, Diploma of Accounting, and BAS Agent Registration.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing bookkeeping for 10+ clients simultaneously.
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading a team is advantageous.
- BAS Agent registration
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in bookkeeping and accounting.
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify others’ mistakes.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage Full-Service Bookkeeping: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian standards.
- Oversee BAS, GST, and Payroll: Prepare and lodge BAS; manage GST, payroll, superannuation, and payroll tax in line with Fair Work requirements.
- Reconcile Financial Records: Reconcile bank, credit card, payables, and receivables accounts; resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Generate accurate financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and budgets.
- Provide Financial Insights: Analyse financial data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and providing tailored financial support.
- Mentor and Lead Team Members: Train and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Improve Systems & Processes: Enhance efficiency through improved financial systems, workflows, and SOPs.
- Ensure Data Security & Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive client information in compliance with privacy and security standards.
- Support Strategic Growth: Identify business development opportunities and contribute to long-term firm planning.
