We are looking for an experienced, self-sufficient, and reliable WordPress Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of our website projects, from development and performance optimisation to ongoing maintenance and SEO. This role requires someone who is proactive, communicates exceptionally well, and can work independently while aligning with the overall goals of the business.
As we transition older client websites from Divi to Elementor, your expertise will be essential in ensuring seamless migrations and top-quality website performance. You’ll work closely with our marketing lead to maintain and improve our web presence across WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify platforms.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Excellent communication (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, and basic Shopify setups.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and WordPress database structures.
- Comfortable working with cPanel, phpMyAdmin, and basic hosting/server settings.
- Familiar with performance and SEO tools (Screaming Frog, All-in-One SEO, Imagify).
- Plugin management and troubleshooting (Wordfence, UpdraftPlus, ManageWP, etc.).
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise WordPress websites (primarily Elementor, previously Divi).
- Migrate websites from Divi, Beaver Builder, and WPBakery to Elementor.
- Perform daily website updates, blog postings, plugin and theme updates, backups, and security scans.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices using All-in-One SEO and Screaming Frog audits.
- Handle basic server and database operations via cPanel, phpMyAdmin, FastComet, and SiteGround.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and bugs with plugins, themes, or website performance.
- Manage and optimise website performance: image compression, caching, mobile responsiveness.
- Conduct regular audits: broken link checks, security checks (using Wordfence), uptime monitoring.
- Collaborate with our casual tech support and help manage plugin updates, email transfers, etc.
- Ensure smooth integration of third-party tools (JotForm, ManageWP, WP Maps, UpdraftPlus, Socials).
- Support WooCommerce and Shopify integrations when needed.
- Maintain a citation listing strategy and internal/external link-building practices.
