Marketing Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our Marketing Coordinator with day-to-day marketing activities. This is a support role, focused on preparing, organising, and assisting with digital marketing, content, and administrative tasks.

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Coordinator, who will provide direction, assign tasks, and oversee campaign execution. Training will be provided in company systems and processes, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organised, reliable, and responsive in communication.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Competent with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Canva or social media platforms (preferred but not required).
Job Responsibilities
  • Content & Campaign Support:
    ● Format and upload content prepared by the Marketing Coordinator (website, blogs, landing pages).
    ● Schedule posts on social media platforms according to the content calendar.
    ● Assist with drafting or formatting email campaigns in Klaviyo.
    ● Organise images, graphics, and other creative assets in shared folders.
  • Research & Data Support:
    ● Gather competitor examples, keyword lists, and industry references for Coordinator review.
    ● Pull basic reports (website traffic, campaign results, social media stats).
    ● Update tracking sheets, dashboards, or reports for Coordinator use.
  • Admin & System Support:
    ● Update CRM records, email lists, and customer data.
    ● Maintain product information (descriptions, stock updates, pricing) in Shopify.
    ● Keep marketing files, templates, and brand assets organised.
    ● Assist with coordination of suppliers, freelancers, or media contacts when required.
  • Communication Support:
    ● Draft templated responses or communications for Coordinator review.
    ● Support logistics for marketing activities (e.g., preparing trade show packs, sending files, coordinating with printers/designers).
    ● Take meeting notes and update action lists.
  • Learning & Growth:
    ● Train on company tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, SEO platforms, CRM).
    ● Learn Australian grammar and tone for content editing.
    ● Shadow the Coordinator on campaign execution to build skills for future independence.
