IT Support Officer

The IT Support Officer is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, and software applications. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, setting up new systems, managing user accounts, and ensuring data security for the company’s virtual assistants (VAs).

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting email accounts and printers.
  • Experience with operating system installations (iOS and Windows).
  • Knowledge of data backup and recovery methods.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (Office 365, Google Workspace).
  • Understanding of remote desktop solutions and VPN configurations.
  • Competence in software installation and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions (EDR/XDR).
  • Ability to create and implement data security policies.
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems and telephony support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Job Responsibilities
  • Configure email accounts.
  • Resolve email connectivity and synchronization issues.
  • Set up printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Resolve connectivity and functionality issues.
  • Perform factory resets, deleting all user data and reverting the computer to factory-installed software.
  • Create and manage user accounts.
  • Implement access controls and permissions for computers.
  • Install and configure iOS or Windows operating systems.
  • Set up automated backup solutions.
  • Recover data from backups when needed.
  • Set up and manage cloud storage and services (e.g., Office 365, Google Workspace).
  • Troubleshoot cloud service issues.
  • Set up remote desktop solutions.
  • Troubleshoot remote access issues.
  • Install and set up software on VAs’ computers.
  • Deploy Crowdstrike Falcon software for basic and advanced endpoint security.
  • Manage security policies and provide customer access to the Crowdstrike Falcon web portal.
  • Create and implement up to 25 security policies relevant to the WrkPod setup.
  • Communicate security policies to local stakeholders.
  • Set up VPN accounts with leading providers like NordVPN or ExpressVPN.
  • Deploy customer-provided VPN profiles for secure remote access to customer networks.
  • Set up VoIP systems.
  • Troubleshoot telephony issues.
