Job Description
The Internal Sales Consultant (Business Development) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and advancing sales opportunities within the construction and refurbishment projects requiring broadloom carpets. This role involves nurturing relationships with key specifiers such as Architects and Interior Designers to convert leads into specifications for EC’s products. The Internal Sales Consultant will work closely with the sales team, coordinating face-to-face representation and sampling requirements to ensure effective conversion of potential leads into specifications.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a sales or sales support role.
- Strong relationship-building skills with confidence in dealing with people.
- Effective time and task management abilities.
- Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constant change.
- Excellent prospecting, discovery, and questioning skills.
- High perseverance, grit, and attention to detail in achieving targets.
- Strong creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- BCI Central Experience is a plus!
Job Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential leads and specifier contacts through various channels.
- Qualify sales opportunities and advance them through the sales process to convert them into specifications for EC’s products.
- Conduct timely follow-ups of leads and opportunities to progress them toward specification and sales.
- Build and nurture productive relationships with major specifier contacts/accounts.
- Utilize CRM system to record and manage all sales activity and customer interactions.
- Coordinate with the sales team to schedule face-to-face meetings, sampling, and other requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders using professional business language.
- Provide input for driving continuous improvement in sales team effectiveness and efficiency.
- Participate in telemarketing or phone prospecting campaigns as required.
- Undertake regular product training and skills development.
