Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Expertise in Australian Taxation: Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, GST, and FBT.
  • Experience in Tax Return Preparation: Proven ability to prepare and lodge Australian tax returns for various entity types.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Advanced skills in Xero and familiarity with other accounting tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Analytical mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex tax and accounting concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
  • Time Management: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Australian clients or an Australian accounting firm.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts in compliance with Australian tax regulations.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other tax-related documents.
  • Handle FBT calculations and compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on Australian tax legislation, ensuring advice and practices are accurate and compliant.
  • Respond to client queries regarding Australian tax, GST, and FBT with clarity and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with clients to collect and verify financial data needed for tax compliance and reporting.
  • Provide explanations and insights into tax and accounting matters, empowering clients to understand their financial obligations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including reconciliations of accounts and ledgers.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Support payroll processing and compliance with Australian laws.
  • Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Liaise with the Australian team to ensure smooth workflows and on-time delivery of client services.
  • Assist with audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation.
