Job Description
Host Digital is a digital marketing consultancy specialising in helping Shopify businesses to grow.
Our ‘Shopify Detox’ methodology is an acquisition and retention system for Shopify brands. It’s simple: website visitors → (high value) buyers → repeat customers.
We optimise conversion rates, average order values and repurchase rates. We do this by combining persuasion, AI, and automation techniques.
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Generalist to support both our consultancy’s growth efforts and our client projects. You’ll be the go-to person for executing our marketing game plan. In this role, you’ll work closely with our founder to turn great ideas and strategies into live campaigns.
This is a mid-shift role with a work schedule of 12 PM – 9 PM PHT.
Job Title
-
Digital Marketing Generalist
Work Schedule
- Mid Shift
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Copywriting experience (Strong written English Communication Skills).
- Basic understanding of digital marketing channels (email, social media, content, SEO).
- Tech Savvy and background in using Shopify (or another CMS), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.), Google Analytics, social media schedulers, or CRM systems.
- Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new tools quickly: you’ve maybe dabbled in things like Shopify (or another CMS), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.), Google Analytics, social media schedulers, or CRM systems.
- A creative mindset with a dash of analytical thinking.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is a bonus but not required.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and launch marketing initiatives across channels – for example, build and send email campaigns (for the consultancy and for our clients), update website/Shopify store content or report on sales performance.
- An eye for good design or experience with simple graphic tools (e.g. Canva and Figma) is a plus.
- You’ll make sure the marketing ideas actually happen on time and look great.
- Write engaging copy and basic content for emails, landing pages and product descriptions (don’t worry, we’ll brainstorm together – but you’ll often be the one to put pen to paper).
- You’re not coding from scratch, but you should be comfortable editing product information, or tweaking page templates (and be willing to be trained a little on HTML/CSS if needed).
- Help set up and maintain automation workflows and integrations. This might mean configuring an email drip sequence in an email tool, connecting a sign-up form to MailChimp, or using a tool like Zapier to make sure all our apps play nicely together. If you haven’t done this before, that’s okay – just be ready to learn!
- Dive into Google Analytics or Shopify reports to track key metrics (traffic, conversions, email open rates, etc.).
- You’ll compile simple reports or dashboards to show how our campaigns are performing. Basically, you turn data into insights that help the team make decisions.
Good luck and God Bless!
