Job Description

The Data & Procurement Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the ongoing operations of the company and its Department. Reporting directly to Craig Mathews/Office Brands, the Assistant will be responsible for various tasks including providing support to the Merchandise Team for Catalogue and Flyer Production, monitoring and responding to Merchandise Related support tickets, preparing Supplier Variation Reports, identifying products and pricing for review, administering Supplier Agreements, managing supplier and product databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of product data on e-commerce websites, supporting the Data Team, and assisting in Data & Web policy compliance. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Fluent in English and a clear communicator
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Office Products industry or similar
  • A good understanding of the supply chain management
  • Active in relevant industry / professional organization
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Teams and has a good understanding of databases, especially VLOOKUP.
  • Attention to detail and loves data.
  • Ethical, Reliable and works well in a team environment.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects/priorities.
Job Responsibilities
  • Set up new products into the system (NIDS)
  • Update Product/Thumb Nail images
  • Use BI Report to set up fortnightly Price Comparison to be uploaded for members and update sell prices.
  • Complete Product Attributes
  • Support the Category Manager to ensure data is always accurate.
  • Support the Category Manager to ensure website data and accuracy.
  • Support the merchandise team in the compliance of Data & Web Merchandising Policy
  • Data accuracy
  • Price updates occur monthly.
  • Published schedule for major data releases in line with catalogue and brochure program.
  • Management of data to support WebX
  • Web and Search performance of products online
  • All product catalogue data and product images to be maintained at a level sufficient to support the Office Brands website.
  • Linkages for cross-sell and up-sell to be maintained within the OneX Database
  • All data is up to date and released to members on time.
  • Provide support for the OneX database.
  • Supplier Submissions following Category Manager’s negotiation.
  • Learn to complete Mud Maps for brochures.
  • Cost updates and list, government, bulk pricing
  • Complete and enhance supplier new item data sheets.
