Customer Solutions Architect

Job Description

The Customer Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving Axiapac’s end-to-end revenue engine: demand generation, lead capture, lead nurturing, sales pipeline management, solution design, proposals, customer onboarding, training, and ongoing customer support coordination.

This role owns the sales and marketing operating system—process, tools, funnel governance, metrics, and continuous improvement—ensuring consistent lead flow, strong conversion rates, high-quality onboarding, and customer retention.

This role will ensure the effective integration and utilisation of CRM, marketing automation, website, analytics, and AI tools to support marketing strategies, improve customer engagement, and drive profitable growth.

This is a senior-level position reporting directly to the CEO, requiring strategic thinking, strong commercial judgement, leadership in sales/marketing operations, and management/development of junior employees in our Philippines virtual team.

The position will work closely with product/software teams to translate market needs into product requirements, value propositions, and go-to-market execution.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, IT/Systems, or a related field (an Associate’s degree or relevant certification with substantial experience will be considered).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales and marketing, ideally in SaaS/ERP, enterprise software, or services selling into operations/finance.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a full-funnel sales process (lead capture → nurture → qualification → proposal → close → onboarding), with documented conversion improvements.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot, Ontraport, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) including pipeline setup, automations, lifecycle stages, deal tracking, dashboards, and data hygiene.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing execution: SEO, content marketing, email/EDM, social media, webinar programs, landing pages, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and execution: keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO basics, internal linking, content clusters, and backlink/outreach coordination.
  • Experience running paid digital campaigns (Google Search/Display, LinkedIn ads, retargeting) is advantageous (not mandatory if strong organic performance experience exists).
  • Ability to interpret and act on analytics (GA4, Search Console, CRM reports, campaign performance) to improve lead quality, conversion, and CAC efficiency.
  • Experience delivering software demonstrations and translating customer requirements into practical solutions and implementation pathways.
  • Lean thinking and a continuous improvement mindset are highly regarded (training will be provided).
  • Understanding and regular use of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Gemini to accelerate content creation, research, segmentation, and workflow automation.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), including executive-level email writing, proposal writing, and presentation delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail (CRM accuracy, campaign execution, documentation).
  • Able to take initiative, prioritise effectively, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with technical and operational teams.
Job Responsibilities
  • Sales:
    • Own and manage the end-to-end sales funnel and pipeline, including definitions, stages, entry/exit criteria, conversion targets, and weekly reporting cadence.
    • CRM Management
    o Configure and maintain the CRM (fields, lifecycle stages, pipelines, tasks, automations).
    o Enforce data hygiene: consistent lead source tracking, contact roles, company profiles, and activity logging.
    o Create dashboards and weekly/monthly reporting for CEO visibility (leads, MQLs/SQLs, pipeline value, win rate, cycle time, forecast).
    • Lead Qualification and Sales Process
    o Manage incoming leads and qualify them using a defined framework (e.g., BANT/MEDDIC-lite/ICP fit) tailored to Axiapac’s target customers.
    o Conduct discovery calls to identify pain points, requirements, decision process, and timeline.
    o Develop and continuously refine Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and buyer personas (e.g., CFO, Operations Manager, HR/Payroll).
    o Own sales cycle discipline: next steps booked, momentum maintained, risks flagged early.
    • Pre-Sales / Solution Architecture
    o Map customer workflows and requirements to Axiapac capabilities; define implementation scope and phased rollouts where needed.
    o Prepare proposals and quotes (including scope, assumptions, deliverables, pricing options, and implementation approach).
    o Coordinate internal resources (CEO/product/technical) for complex opportunities as required.
    • Product Demonstrations and Webinars
    o Deliver professional product demonstrations, webinars, and tailored presentations that convert interest into next steps.
    o Build and maintain a repeatable demo flow and supporting collateral (demo script, slides, case studies, FAQs, objection handling).
    o Follow-Up and Nurture
    o Run consistent follow-up systems (email sequences, call tasks, webinar follow-up, retargeting lists) to reduce lead leakage and improve conversion.
  • Marketing:
    • Website Redevelopment and Conversion Optimisation
    o Lead redevelopment of Axiapac website (www.axiapac.com.au, www.axiapac.com, www.axiapac.com.pg ) with a focus on clarity of value proposition, credibility, and lead capture.
    o Create landing pages aligned to campaigns (industry-specific pages, webinar registrations, pricing/consultation requests).
    o Implement conversion improvements: clear CTAs, lead magnets, forms, booking links, and thank-you page tracking.
    • SEO and Content Marketing
    o Develop and execute an SEO plan: keyword research, content roadmap, internal linking, metadata optimisation, and performance tracking.
    o Build “topic clusters” around key buyer needs (job costing, payroll/timekeeping, ERP integration, Lean waste reduction, mining/trades compliance).
    o Coordinate creation of SEO content (articles, case studies, FAQs, comparison pages), leveraging LLMs while maintaining quality and accuracy.
    o Monitor Google Search Console for indexing, errors, queries, and ranking opportunities; coordinate technical fixes with developers as needed.
    • Digital Marketing (Broader)
    o Plan and run digital campaigns across email, social, webinars, and (where applicable) paid search/social.
    o Manage retargeting/nurture audiences and campaign tracking (UTMs, source attribution).
    o Coordinate brand consistency across website, collateral, decks, and social.
    • Webinars, Demonstrations, and Keynote Presentations
    o Plan a recurring webinar program (monthly/fortnightly) with topics matched to funnel stages.
    o Own end-to-end webinar operations: registration page, reminders, delivery, followup, recording reuse, and repurposing into content.
    • Social Media Management
    o Create and execute a social media content calendar (LinkedIn priority for B2B; others optional).
    o Publish and engage to support authority building, brand trust, and lead generation.
    • Email / EDM Programs
    o Create, design, and send professional EDMs using Ontraport, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar.
    o Develop customer-facing email communications and maintain templates for product updates, onboarding, announcements, and sales sequences.
    o Maintain and segment CRM/email lists based on customer type, industry, geography, and engagement level.
    o Track and optimise email performance (deliverability, open rate, CTR, reply rate, conversion to meeting).
    • Analytics and Performance Management
    o Own performance measurement across channels (CRM + GA4 + Search Console).
    o Provide recommendations based on data: what to stop, start, and improve, with a bias toward ROI and conversion.
  • Product Development:
    • Provide structured feedback loops from customers and prospects (pain points, objections, feature gaps, buying triggers).
    • Identify market opportunities and competitor positioning, support messaging and product roadmap prioritisation.
    • Assist in shaping and communicating AI capabilities of Axiapac Lean ERP (use cases, value narratives, staged rollout messaging).
    • Support creation of product collateral: one-pagers, comparisons, case studies, pricing sheets, and implementation overviews.
  • Onboarding:
    • Manage and supervise the collection of setup data and onboarding prerequisites (employee data, payroll settings, chart of accounts, workflows).
    • Coordinate online onboarding calls and maintain onboarding checklists, templates, and standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure a smooth handover from “closed deal” to “active onboarding,” with clear scope and success criteria.
  • Training and Ongoing Support:
    • Learn the Axiapac Lean ERP system to a level sufficient to support demos, onboarding coordination, and customer training.
    • Develop and maintain training materials (guides, short videos, FAQs, onboarding packs).
    • Coordinate ongoing customer communications and basic support triage, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised, and resolved via appropriate internal resources.
    • Identify common support issues and propose product/process improvements.
  • Managerial Tasks:
    • Delegate tasks to junior staff where appropriate (content drafts, list management, scheduling, data cleansing, graphic work, onboarding) with clear briefs and QA standards.
    • Develop junior staff through coaching, feedback, and structured workflows.
    • Establish weekly execution cadence: priorities, reporting, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
    • Perform other managerial duties as assigned by the CEO.
