We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal with a background in conveyancing and a solid understanding of Australian property law to join our team.
We are looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to assist with the preparation and management of off-the-plan residential contracts across all Australian jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a legal firm, familiarity with LEAP software, and a strong understanding of conveyancing and property law. This role involves working closely with solicitors and will require a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Completed a university degree, preferably in law or a related field.
- At least 6 months of experience working in a legal firm, with a focus on conveyancing or property law.
- Experience with LEAP software or other legal project management tools.
- Familiarity with Australian property law, particularly in conveyancing and residential property transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and external parties.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Experience in preparing conveyancing contracts and handling property settlements.
- Familiarity with PEXA for property settlements (subject to confirmation of usability overseas).
- Understanding and experience in drafting legal contracts for the Australian market.
- Basic knowledge of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) in relation to property transactions.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare off-the-plan residential contracts for all Australian jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Assist in drafting various legal documents related to property transactions.
- Facilitate contract exchanges and prepare matters for settlement using PEXA, including liaising with clients, other law firms, and banks.
- Perform property searches across all Australian jurisdictions to ensure compliance and due diligence.
- Handle the stamping of contracts and other legal documents as required.
- Create, manage, and archive matters using LEAP software, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and managing communications related to their property transactions.
- Work closely with solicitors and other team members to ensure the smooth processing of legal matters.
- Assist with other legal administrative duties as necessary, contributing to the overall efficiency of the firm.
