Job Description

As a Business Accountant/Virtual Assistant at Align Technology, you will manage our financial records, including transactions, accounts payable and receivable, while also providing virtual administrative assistance as needed. This dual role requires a blend of financial expertise and administrative support skills.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (an associate’s degree or relevant certification with substantial experience may be considered).
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.
  • Ability to use a line of business ticketing system (Autotask).
  • Strong understanding of financial business reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Discretion and respect for the confidentiality of financial data.
  • Virtual Assistant experience is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
  • Utilize your friendly demeanor and warm sense of humor to communicate effectively.
  • Accurately record and classify financial transactions in the general ledger, including invoices, receipts, and expenditures.
  • Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices and accounts receivable by preparing and sending customer invoices and statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process employee payroll from submitted team timesheets.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining records for tax filings.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data.
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., Xero) to maintain financial records efficiently.
  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Perform other administrative and virtual assistant duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
