Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
  • Thorough understanding of Australian accounting principles and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Certification as a Bookkeeper or equivalent credential.
  • Experience working with Australian clients or businesses.
  • Knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote team environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable procedures.
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Manage payroll processing and maintain employee records.
  • Prepare and submit BAS and other regulatory filings.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate financial decision-making.
  • Safeguard confidentiality of financial data and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
  • Adhere to the Yenem Playbook guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
