Bookkeeper

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller / Bookkeeper to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, exceptional analytical skills, and experience working in the MSP or technology services industry. The ideal candidate will be based in the Philippines and have excellent English communication skills for collaborating with both local and U.S.-based teams.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including 2+ years in a Controller, Bookkeeper, or senior accounting role.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in an on-site work environment.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience using ConnectWise Manage (ConnectWise PSA).
    • Experience working with U.S.-based companies or within the IT services/MSP industry.
    • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s QuickBooks financial system: accurate data entry, monthly reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Work closely with the executive team to manage budgets, forecasts, and
    strategic financial planning.
  • Support financial audits, tax filing preparations, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Track client profitability, service margins, and recurring revenue trends specific to MSP operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial data aligns with operational activities and project outcomes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in accounting operations.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
