Bookkeeper

As our Bookkeeper, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and utilising your expertise in Xero to support seamless operations. Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Keen to become as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Officer, or similar role for an
    Australian business.
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software or a fast learner.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications.
  • Previous exposure to other accounting platforms (MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude.
Job Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Bank reconciliations and management of multiple accounts.
  • Prepare and process payroll, superannuation, and employee entitlements.
  • Maintain and update accounting systems (particularly Xero) with precision.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external accountants as required.
  • Maintain accurate digital filing of all financial documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and statutory
    requirements.
  • Provide ad hoc financial support and reporting to management as needed.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
