Job Description

The AU Mortgage Loan Processor is a high-level technical role designed to drive the end-to-end loan lifecycle. Acting as a “Parabroker,” you will bridge the gap between the client, the broker, and the lender. This position moves beyond basic administration, requiring advanced data integrity, serviceability modeling, and meticulous compliance management. Your primary goal is to ensure seamless loan submissions and settlements while providing a premium experience for clients.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in the Australian Mortgage Brokering or Financial Services sector is highly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Mercury (CRM) and Quickli is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to master complex financial software, bank calculators, and lender portals quickly.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of the AU mortgage application process and NCCP compliance requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: An “Eagle Eye” for spotting inconsistencies in bank statements or missing signatures before submission.
  • Analytical Skills: Highly comfortable working with data entry, numerical calculations, and financial spreadsheets.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills for professional interaction with Australian lenders and clients.
Job Responsibilities
  • Technical Processing: Assess client documents for completeness and policy fit; utilize Quickli and bank calculators to prepare accurate serviceability spreadsheets.
  • Data & Submission: Execute high-accuracy data entry into Mercury and manage the submission of loan files to major and regional lenders.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure Credit Guides and Disclosure documents are issued, signed, and archived correctly to meet industry regulatory standards.
  • Lender Liaison: Proactively order valuations, manage pricing requests, and follow up on outstanding lender requirements.
  • Pipeline Tracking: Monitor loan files from application through to settlement, ensuring all stakeholders are updated regularly.
  • Client Inquiry Handling: Address direct client enquiries regarding file status and progress (with future training to handle deeper product-related queries).
  • Administrative Support: Manage incoming telephone calls and provide general office support (approximately 20% of the role).
  • Reporting: Prepare funding reports and lender recommendations to assist brokers in the decision-making process.
