Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accountant in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Australian accounting principles and tax systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (primarily Xero) and Google Workspace.
  • Analytical and systematic approach to work, paying attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis.
  • Prepare and file BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other relevant tax documents, ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on bookkeeping standards and regulations, ensuring all financial practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Australian team, providing regular updates and reports on financial status.
