The Accountant is responsible for delivering full-spectrum financial management across multiple business entities. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, compliance with Australian tax and regulatory standards, timely financial reporting, and efficient management of accounting systems and processes.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Must have extensive experience with Xero accounting software.
- Must have extensive experience with Australian taxation and regulatory
requirements (GST, PAYG, FBT, Superannuation etc). - Bookkeeping for 2 main businesses with a total of 8 Xero files to manage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management, able to handle high-volume workload across multiple entities.
- Professional communication skills, including email management and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work independently while supporting management needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable:
● Setting up supplier payments
● Entering invoices
● Obtaining approvals
● Setting up payment runs & ABA file generation - Accounts Receivable:
● Setting up customer accounts
● Sending invoices
● Following up overdue payments - Accounting:
● Daily bank reconciliations on all files
● Month end close out process for both businesses
● Financial reports pack to be generated and shared at end of month
● Lodgement of BAS/IAS through Xero portal
● Lodgment of TPAR through Xero portal
● Working with Tax accountants for end of financial year reporting & close out
● Regular Project cost and income reporting & analysis
● Setting up budgets & tracking - Payroll:
● Weekly payment runs for 9 people and growing
● Payment of superannuation etc - Systems:
● Upgrading and improving systems & process
● Setting up approval max system
● Continuing to find improvements and efficiencies - Admin:
● Ad hoc tasks for management as required
● Management of accounts inbox, ensuring all emails are
attended to daily
