Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, overseeing payroll, and preparing financial reports. This role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations while providing valuable financial insights to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong experience in accounting software and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience with Australian clients is a plus.
  • Proficient in Xero (preferred), QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Skilled in bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis.
  • Prepare and file BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other relevant tax documents, ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on bookkeeping standards and regulations, ensuring all financial practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Australian team, providing regular updates and reports on financial status.
