Unveiling WrkPod’s Exceptional Mural Artist: A Glimpse into Bragg’s Artistry

At WrkPod, we treasure the diversity of talents within our community, and among these gems is Bragg, our vibrant 29-year-old mural artist. Born and raised in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, Bragg is not only an artist but, first and foremost, a dedicated husband and father.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Bragg to delve into his world of artistry. Here’s what he shared with us:

Embarking on an Artistic Journey

Bragg’s love affair with art commenced at the tender age of 4, where the sandy shores became his canvas. “Golden hour” sunsets by the beach inspired his young mind to sketch helicopters and craft imaginative drawings.

The Charm of Mural Art

When asked about his preference for mural art, Bragg emphasized its unique appeal. Unlike traditional canvas art, murals are exposed, forming an integral part of a landscape. “It’s an expression on a grand scale,” he quipped, highlighting the vast canvas that allows for immense self-expression.

Artistic Inspiration

Eduardo Kobra, a Brazilian mural artist known for his captivating spray-painted murals, stands as Bragg’s inspiration. Kobra’s artistry deeply influences Bragg’s creative vision, leading him to explore new artistic avenues.

The Artistic Process

On discussing the duration of a mural project, Bragg explained that it varies based on intricacies, size, and project scope. Some projects may span up to 2 months, depending on the details involved.

Costs and Memorable Works

Regarding costs, Bragg noted that mural projects generally range from 50,000 to 200,000 pesos. He humorously shared an anecdote about a memorable mural project, reminding us of a valuable lesson – a reminder to never drink and drive.
