Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Mechanical trade or engineering background (qualification preferred).
- Experience in sales or customer facing roles is preferred but a willingness to support customers and become a dependable point of call for them is the only thing required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain complex mechanical concepts in simple, customer-friendly language as well as speak technical jargon when required with technically-minded customers.
- Preferred:
• Experience in [industry — e.g., pumps, hydraulics, HVAC, industrial equipment].
• CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-first mindset.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Expertise:
● Provide technical guidance to customers on product specifications, applications, and solutions.
● Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues and recommend appropriate products or services.
● Walk customers through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions, allowing the solution to sell itself.
● Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to address customer requirements. - Sales & Account Management:
● Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
● Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share.
● Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and follow-ups.
● Conduct regular account reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
● Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
● Provide market insights and customer feedback to internal teams.
● Support marketing with technical content, customer success stories, and product knowledge.
